Summary: I have stayed at this hotel previously on five occasions. It is convenient to the ski slopes and in the centre of Flaine. The ski boot room is heated and secure. Last few weeks in the season are AI. Top two floors are exclusive to Crystal, the other half of the hotel is split between French or other European groups. The entertainment is French orientated which some UK visitors really enjoyed. Rooms are great with mostly balconies and very good bathrooms, This year the quality of the food (adult food) at dinner times was really poor and repetitive. Desserts were excellent! Maybe pizza/pasta every night is fine for families wishing something simple, which was for us when we had young children. There was no orange juice for breakfast for example, otherwise breakfast was decent. Staff were very hard working and helpful. One hot tub was a cold tub, one empty. Our biggest issue was that we booked a room for 7 nights, yet the hotel decided to close early and left us to arrange another hotel for our final night with a few weeks notice . Expedia were of zero help. MMV offered another resort, however we had transfers, lift passes and ski hire all arranged. MMV added additional stress that was avoidable, it is not easy to make a hotel change during a ski holiday, moving all the equipment somewhere else. We were refunded one nights stay. The neighbouring hotel Totem was exceptionally accommodating, allowing free early check in(6pm at MMV) and use of their boot room the night before.

Summary: The hotel was central to the resort but in need of some upgrading. The catering was plentiful, varied and certainly good enough quality for me. The facilities were reasonable but lacked perhaps eg. a pool. The entertainments team unfortunately for us did everything in French because there was a predominance of French speaking residents.

Summary: We were really worried about this hotel after reading the reviews but we really had nothing to worry about. The hotel staff were friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The food choice was good for breakfast/dinner. It was located close to all the amenities. You get what you pay for and we were more than happy with this hotel, and we've stayed in lots of hotels!!!! We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Staff in all areas were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation itself was good. Rooms a little dated but clean, comfortable and a decent size for ski accomodation, if a little short on storage space. Internet access UK TV channels were available in room. Good size boot room on the Ground Floor with boot heaters and basic ski lockers. Location is good, with nice views and easy access to the shops and restaurants in Flaine Forum. It's conveniently located between the 2 Funiculars up to Foret. WIth snow cover then you can pole/slide down to the beginners areas and lifts at Forum from approx. 50m away. Its a 5-10 minute walk back but it's quicker to finish at Foret and catch the first Funicular down. The food was a buffet and was generally good and plentiful. Breakfast is continental. You can book a packed lunch as an alternative to the restaurant buffet. These were good but need to be booked by 6.30 the night before. For lunch and dinner there was plenty of choice - hors d'oeuvres, soup, pasta, a couple of choices for Mains, some deserts, fruit, Cheese-board and wine on tap. For buffet food it was well prepared, tasty and plentiful. You can park outside the hotel for up to 90 minutes to load/unload before moving to a car park. Staff all spoke English and were all friendly, very helpful and courteous. I would recommend this hotel again

Summary: The hotel is in an excellent position, staff are friendly. Rooms a little tired but comfortable enough and clean. The spa facilities are very nice and you get free sessions. The food is pretty good too, with reasonable selection. I would rate as a 3 star hotel.
